2年前も 4月に入院したのだが 今年も娘の結婚式が終わった翌日に 大々的に血尿が出て 病院に電話して診察をしてもらい 膀胱を洗浄することになった。内視鏡で見るにも血まみれでは見られないからだ。 やはりすぐには終わらず結局入院してくださいということになってしまっ た。 洗浄は1日で終わり 翌日内視鏡で検査することになって これを書いている時点ではそれを待っている 前の晩 ということになる。 今日の夜勤の看護師さんは2年前に ICU に勤務していたそうで 私のことを覚えていた。「珍しいお名前でしたからね 」ということだった。
洗浄が終わってもう 血尿は出ていないが なかなかおしっこが出にくくて それはちょっと心配である。 クレアチニン など 透析をするような数値は平常のため 原因は何だろうなと それもまた心配である。 詳細は 明日の検査の結果次第やれやれ 眠れない夜 だなぁ。
翌日、先生から内視鏡の結果、奥の方からの出血ではなく、膀胱がんとかはない、しかし、年齢相応前立腺が大きくそのせいで尿道が狭くなり出にくくなっているとのことだ。ここ数日自己導尿を行っていたのだが、その狭い尿道が傷つき大量出血になりその塊が詰まってさらにでなくなっていた。相変わらず出にくいがまあ年齢相応ともいえるとのことで退院して少し様子見、必要に応じてまた内視鏡で見てみようということになった。

I was hospitalized in April two years ago, but this year, the day after my daughter's wedding, I had a serious case of hematuria and had to call the hospital for an examination. They ended up washing my bladder because even with an endoscope, it was too bloody to see. It didn't end there and I had to be hospitalized eventually. The cleaning process took a day, and the next day I had to have another endoscopy. As I'm writing this, I'm waiting for the results. The nurse on duty that night worked in the ICU two years ago and remembered me because of my unusual name.
Although the bleeding stopped after the cleaning, I'm having difficulty urinating, which is a concern. My creatinine levels and other values that would require dialysis are within the normal range, so I'm not sure what the cause is. I'm worried about the results of tomorrow's examination. It's been a sleepless night.
The next day, the doctor told me that the bleeding was not from deep inside, and there was no bladder cancer. However, my prostate is enlarged, which is normal for my age, and it's causing my urethra to narrow and making it difficult to urinate. I've been practicing self-catheterization for the past few days, but my narrow urethra got injured, causing massive bleeding, and a clot had formed, blocking the urine flow. Although it's still difficult to urinate, it's age-appropriate, and I was discharged to observe the situation. We will have another endoscopy if necessary.
